A History of Women in Animation:
Mothers of a Medium

When I first decided to do this article, I was naive. With all the modern resources
at my fingertips, I thought finding information on the ladies behind animation would
be super easy. "Oh, you sweet summer child," has run through my head a few times,
as I struggled to find even the most basic pieces of information. Standard books used
for animation history classes barely mentioned women in passing, much less their

"I am a Police Officer in Camdenton Missouri and was working security one evening
at the local High School. I saw the mother raccoon on the wall with one of her
babies as she was attempting to get her other baby over the wall. The mother
raccoon leaned over the wall as the baby held onto her legs so she could reach out
and grab the other baby and pull him up. Great example of a mothers love and

Ein wunderschön gemachter Zeichentrick film von Robin Joseph auf viemo
Fox and the Whale "Fuchs und der Wal" - nachdem der 12minütige Streifen
komplett ohne Text auskommt ist es egal, ob der Titel nun englisch oder deutsch
ist. Aktuelle Animation vom Feinsten ganz umsonst. Das hatten wir lange nicht.
