Nachdem diese Greys aus Termingründen nicht zur Tieroase kommen werden
wenn sie gesund sind, werden sie anderweitig abgegeben. Soweit ich das auf der
Seite von HUG finde, werde ich versuchen das aktuell hier dazu zu stellen. Könnte
ja sein, daß der eine oder andere einen der Hunde auch aus dem benachbarten
Ausland adoptieren wollen würde. Belgien z.B. ist ja nicht unerreichbar und für
viele vielleicht näher, als München, Hamburg oder Berlin. 

Update 21.5.13 - 4 der Hunde sollen nach Belgien gehen, einer ins UK, die drei anderen sind noch nicht aktualisiert.

Update 16.5.2013 - der Transport ist wegen Zwingerhusten im Irischen Kennel zumindest vorerst abgeblasen. Weitere Entwicklungen folgen.



Ein Auszug aus dem Newsletter der Tieroase Birkenschold;
Die Hunde sind noch bei h.u.g. in Irland:

Wir werden unseren Tieroasenbus daher aus dem Winterschlaf holen, und uns am Freitag den 24.05. nachmittags auf den Weg nach England machen.
Am Samstag Mittag treffen wir uns mit unseren irischen Freunden in Reading in England. Samstag Abend fahren wir mit der Fähre zurück.
Sofern alles gut geht, sind wir dann am Sonntag morgen, den 26.05.  mit acht neue Greyhound zurück.

1.Bandit

Hello...my name is Bandit and I am 18
months old. I am a lovely black boy looking for my forever sofa...I am really
friendly and love to be around people. I will give you lots of cuddles and
kisses and am very gentle. I get on well with other hounds but will need to be
tested around other dogs to see how I get on!! I got a slight injury as a pup
and was unable to race, this does not affect my everyday living. Could you
possibly give me a home?

2.Bobby

Bobby is a 3 year old lad who is looking for his forever home
after retiring from racing. Bobby had a mild shoulder injuy which means that he
is no longer suitable for the track but it should not impact on him in the
future. Bobby's owner tells us that he has been good around small dogs in the
past but he would not be good with cats.

3. CJ - Skellig Crash - Rehomed in the UK



Hello! My name is CJ and I was born in
2009. My race name was Skellig Crash and I am no longer fast enough for the
track so I am on my mission to find my forever sofa.
I stand about 26-7 inches to the shoulder and
have a big thick kennel coat...with lots of fuss and grooming it will reveal a
lovely sleek black shiny coat
I am a placid boy who is meeting new dogs for
the first time and it's going well. I love an ear rub and lots of cuddles. I
walk well on my lead and enjoy a good sniff around to take in the world around
me

4.Billy,,RESERVED for A Grey's Home, Belgium : Billy"



Hey there!! My name is Billy and I was born in 2010. I have finished my racing
career and would love to find my forever sofa...
I am quite a lively boy and I am getting used to my new environment. I walk
well on the lead and travel well too.
I am not too sure about small dogs yet as I have only just been introduced to
them...I was a good boy though and did lots of play bows with them in the kennels.

5.Sadie ,,RESERVED for A Grey's Home, Belgium : Sadie"


Meet the stunning Sadie. Sadie is a
lovely fawn girl and is around 26″ to her shoulder She is now looking for her
forever sofa. Sadie was born in 2007 and will be 6 years old in May. Sadie gets
on well with other hounds and is yet to be tested with smaller dogs and cats.

6.Cleo ,,RESERVED for A Grey's Home, Belgium : Cleo


Meet Cleo.
Born in 2008, Cleo is looking for her forever sofa. She is a friendly black and
white girl who is currently with her owner. Cleo is around 26″ to her shoulder.
She walks well on the lead and loves to travel.

7.Lee ,,RESERVED for A Grey's Home, Belgium : Lee


Lee. She is looking for a sofa to pinch... Lee is around 26″
to the shoulder and was born in 2007. She will be 6 years old in July. She is a
very friendly girl and is a joy to walk. Lee gets on well with other hounds but
has not been tested with smaller dogs and cats as yet. Lee and Cleo have been
kenneled together and are the best of friends

R.I.P. - Pneumonia 8.Serena


Serena is a beautiful black girl, around 26″ to her shoulder.
Serena was born in July 2011 so she is not yet 2 years old. She is a friendly
girl looking for her forever sofa. She gets on well with other hounds but has
not been small dog and cat tested

aktuell letztes Update - Oval 5 am 24.5.13

Ich habe die Hunde abgetrennt, die leider nicht in die Tieroase reisen konnten und versuche
zumindest die Links einigermaßen aktuell zu halten. Die Hunde sind aktuell alle noch in Irland,
zum Teil für den nächsten Transport nach Belgien vorgemerkt. Ralf Peters hat im "Tagebuch"
der Tieroase berichtet, daß nur noch drei der Hunde mit dem Zwingerhusten zu kämpfen haben
und auch diese auf dem Weg der Besserung sind - das ist ja schon mal eine gute Nachricht!


Das Thema hier ist nicht geschlossen, damit Nachfragen möglich bleiben. Grundsätzlich ist
aber der Ansprechpartner für diese Hunde HUG selber, die via fb oder die normale Website
auf Englisch kontaktiert werden können. Ich kann mir vorstellen, daß eventuell auch die
Tieroase mithelfen würde, wenn es konkret wäre - das bitte aber unbedingt direkt abklären -
ich kann da nichts versprechen und möchte mich auch wirklich nicht einmischen.

in Wales,
and Belgium.

Sie sind also gefahren - soweit sie oben in der Liste stehen -
wenn ich das richtig überblicke sind wieder mal die Schwarzen da geblieben - naja, Lee ist auch ein Schwarzer....
Ob das bedeutet, daß sie schon ein zu Hause haben oder nur in den nächsten Kennel/auf die nächste Pflegestelle im nächsten Land umziehen kann ich nicht sagen - das müßtet Ihr, wenn Euer Herz an einem ganz bestimmten dieser Hunde hängt, bitte ggf. selber klären
