Dogs found will do 5 days in the pound, and may be available for rehoming after this time, if you wish to rehome a dog from Laois Dog Pound, contact us by pm, including your name ,adress, and contact number. Also include the reference number of the dog you wish to rehome. We are also available by phone, 0578734067 during office hours only.
 We will endeavour to answer pms if the information requested is provided, and if we are still in need of a home for the specified dog.

 If you wish to foster a dog from LDP you need to organise rescue backup , we cannot do this, but we will work with all ISPCA approved rescues.

 Please only consider taking a dog if you can provide it with a loving home, there are costs involved, you need to be aware of these costs before you rehome a dog. Always rescue ,never buy.

 Lastly any member of the public may call to the pound to view the dogs if you think you may wish to rehome, a phonecall in advance is always appreciated.
 Laois Dog Pound opening hours are as follows:

 Monday to Saturday 10.00 to 12.30 9. Closed Wednesdays and Sundays.

 We appreciate all shares of our pictures on facebook, this is helping greatly to get the dogs homes.

 If for any reason you wish to surrender a dog please give us as much notice as possible, we have been very successful in the last year in helping members of the public rehome their dogs without the need for them to come into the pound, through the sharing of pictures etc.

 Please ensure your dog is microchipped and the registration is up to date. We also encourage neutering of all dogs , this helps to reduce the number of strays. Your dog must have an ID tag at all times, this is law and as important as the chip. It will ensure your dog comes back if it gets lost.

All these dogs are off to their new homes in Sweeden and the UK. All vaccinated,
passports and had their rabies shots. Sponsored by hungry horse outside.
