22.4.14 - Wäre ja zu schön gewesen.. in Irland als vermittelt .. hier in der Vermittlung.
So sieht's aus. Die Hündin ist aber hübsch, mit 3 1/2 Jahren auch in einem guten Alter.
Hoffe, es findet sich einer, der sie für immer und ewig in sein Herz schließt, mit Ihr Wohnung
und Zeit teilen wird und es niemals bereut :-)

Cora konnte aus der Tötung in Irland gerettet werden....seit nun fast einer Woche lebt sie bei
uns in der Pflegestelle. Eine tolle Hündin, die sehr menschenbezogen ist und keinerlei Ängste
hat. Ihr Sozialverhalten gegenüber anderen (Wind) Hunden, sowie auch anderen Rassen (auch
kleinen Fusshüpchen) ist einwandfrei. Wer gibt Cora ein neues Zuhause?....Vermittlung über

Dieser Hund ist als Labrador-Mischling eingetragen, aber sowohl die Füße,
als auch die Bewegung auf dem Foto sehen sehr nach Lurcher aus. Trotzdem:
Ganz sicher kann auch ich bei dem Foto nicht sein. Immerhin wäre das der
erste Lurcher überhaupt, den ich auf der Seite dieses Pounds dann gesehen
hätte. Insofern ist diese andere Beschreibung und das unscharfe Foto evtl. die
Lebensversicherung dieses Hundes!
Also bitte schön sachte, falls jemand etwas unternehmen möchte.

This is the lovely boy from Nutts Corner Pound, was up to see him this morning, he is a young dog very friendly, I brought him out a walk and he just loved getting out ,he is very thin as he is stressing in the kennels, he is a Lurcher and not a Greyhound as said before, GHIN have offered him rescue space but we really need a foster home for him for a couple of months, this is very urgent as the pound is filled to capacity can anybody help foster him??

This absolute beauty is still there took him out and he's the most loveable dog real
quiet gent! Shouldn't be there still please some1 rehome him , he has lost weight since this
pic, again due to stress being in kennels! Hxxxx Jxxxx can you help at all?

We've already started getting ready for him, off to get him
a sofa for the kitchen lol... Yes we are mad!!! Thank you so
much for all your help xxx

This chap collected from the pound today in a joint operation by
Dundalk Dogs and DAR. Temporarily with me before he goes to
the vet for check-up etc. Very friendly and getting on fine with
my two after some initial grumbling from the springer.

Nicola pounds unfortunately are necessary as Ireland would be over run with stray dogs if there was nowhere for the strays to be taken to. Sadly its a reflection on the irresponsible ownership of animals by Irish people and over breeding. People seem to think its right to let dogs have litters and litters of pups instead of neutering them and its left to rescues to clean up the mess of mindless people. Animals are easily disposed of by Irish people as they know there is always another pup that can be homed to start the cycle again. The lurcher above no doubt was 'owned; by people using him for lamping etc and then abandoned when of no further use to them. He would have starved if not picked up and taken to the pound and no one would be aware of his predicament. Despite being advertised on sites no owner has come forward for him and without rescue he would just be another number in the high statistcs of dogs destroyed in Ireland due to Irish people. Tell people to neuter their dogs and provide secure homes for them that they cannot wander.

We've made a phone call so hopefully this little mite will have a happy story after all :0)

Der hat einfach einen Namen bekommen und ist nicht mehr nachvollziehbar
aber auch sicher irgendwo unter gekommen.

A day in the life...
Heading off shortly to take a black bull lurcher from Carlow-Kilkenny dog pound.
Even though we are so full, our foster Amanda in Cork has said she will look after
him for a while. Apparently he has a skin condition - normal - but is a lovely dog.
So the order of the day is to get a dog licence, go to the pound, fill out the forms
and collect him. Bring him to our vets in Carrick-on-Suir for an assessment, micro-
chip, vaccinations, treat for mange and fleas, rabies vax and apply for his passport.
We will get him neutered at a later stage when we are certain he is healthy enough
for that. And then bring him down to Bandon in Cork for 8pm where we will meet
Amanda who is meeting us half-way and then home - circa 11pm.
Ideas for a name for him would be appreciated as we do not want to call him
Blackie or any other name that we have already used
